Austec R/R puts my 450 at 231BHP, 248 Torque at the flywheel. Peak BHP at around 5200RPM, peak torque at around 4000. However - it wasnt running very smoothly during the session and a quick look showed the coil and leads were knackered. Replaced them cars runs much smoother but we didnt have time for another power run to check if it made a difference to the outputs.
As per the quote take it all with a pinch of salt different r/r give varying numbers - The trick is to check that on the r/r you are using that your car matches others of the same type as tested on THAT r/r for output and torque, rather than taking the figures as gospel...
July's Sprint magazine reported a test on seven cars, albeit none of them were a 450, but there was a standard Griffith 500 (260bhp, 280lbft) and a standard Chimaera 400 (200bhp, 220lbft). So it would be reasonable to expect a standard 450 in average condition to drop somewhere in between. Interestingly, a low mileage but well kept Chimaera 400 was putting out 222bhp/260lbft. I suppose 240bhp power and 270lbft torque would be quite respectable.

Hmmm. Well I am no expert so wouldnt know - I dont have any problems (well I dont think so anyway!) I just have the power curve from the R/R and it reaches peak at about 5200RPM - the boys at Austec who did the power run told me it was fine and the curve was as it should be for a 450 - just a bit rough with the old leads and coil. And now they have been replaced shes much smoother :-)
Well my standard 450 put out 255bhp and 300lb when we met at the Surrey RR. Thats only 30bhp and 10lb torque of TVRs "optimistic" figures. Never been on another RR so can't compare but most people seemed happy with the RR outputs and their reliability.

Hmm maybe I shoud get to Surrey r/r for a power run - everyone who has posted on here using that have much higher figures than mine ! Be interesting to see the comparison between the two r/r's

262.8 BHP @ 5906 rpm....... 266.3 lbft @ 4495 rpm on the Noble Motorsport RR recently. See this thread for the print out.

Last year I got 240bhp/270lbft (at the fly) at a different road.
See theres another thing that I find confusing. How do they calculate the value at the flywheel - I guess its a percentage loss factor but is it the same for every r/r ? By the graph I have BHP wheels 204 , flywheel 235 - but yours is 195 and 246 surely the loss would be the same (or not far off) for both cars ?

Don't say that, I was very pleased with the 280lb-ft/265 bhp mine turned out until you said that!
