Hi all, I've been lurking in the background for a while as the Chim has has to sit around for the past 8 months or so, I've sorted my priorities and now its time to get the car on the road again, last time it was used the steering rack gushed all it's fluids out, somewhere near the top where the pinion goes in I think, any way I can't actually remember if I put a post up regarding it before, I can't see anything... Any way what I am seeing is varying opinions as to the difficulty of the job, as usual no regular garage want's to work on it, believe me I've been asking and rather not have the expense of trailering it to TVRSW in Wellington so may be forced into tacking it myself, I found this while searching https://brookbanks.net/tvrrackremoval/ and thought that seems doable for an average jo like me, but after a AI search, that says it's a fiddly pain in the arse, then I come across a post on year from 2010 I think and it said the Y piece doesn't need to come out, (like the Brookbanks instructions say) and that it simply slides out the passenger side.. Bare in mind im no where near even an amateur mechanic level, but quite handy with certain things. cheers guys
