You might find when trying to join the two manifold pipes to Y piece very difficult to line them up. This is simply because the manifolds tend to slightly go out of shape over the years.
One solution is to use a ratchet strap around both manifolds and draw them together so the clamps go on properly.
I preferred to undo manifold bolts at the heads so loosening the manifolds enough to manipulate them onto Y piece as I feel using a ratchet strap risks cracking the manifolds as that has been known to happen in the past but using a strap is definitely easier but not necessary a very proffesional solution.
