air filter question

Hi all, I need to remove my air filter to clean it but can't quite see how to get it off, apparently according to google its secured 'onto a intake spigot/bracket with a single jubilee clip', but unless you know how its secured or how to unhook it as it's out of site, how is it unhooked/removed from this? I've undone the jubilee clip and tried to pull off the filter, but it seems solid on the tube, the jubilee clip at the other end will probably slide off but the filter will still be hanging on this bracket or what ever it is, I don't want to damage anything by pulling and tugging, i swear I've made something worse as it slops around a bit now

Probably just seized on the powder coated bracket that holds the filter to the body. If you open the bonnet you should find a bolt on the left side of the bodywork that retains the bracket.if you undo that from the underside you should release the bracket which should give you better access to both the bracket and air filter.

Forget which year the front bumper style changed, early cars access through the grille was easy but later ones not sure how you access the air filter.

Not very easily. Basically you have to go through grill area between the bonnet and the shelf and risk trapping your arm. Expect a few scratches and a lot of swearing.
I found it very difficult so released the bracket from the body which drops the air filter and piping into a more workable space. The hard part is then re attaching the bracket. I found once I’d freed up the air filter it was then easier to re connect bracket and then fit air filter to the bracket.
If anyone has a better plan I’d be more than happy to hear it.
The problem stems from a lack of replacing/ cleaning filter which can be years before someone actually does it and why it then seizes on the bracket that tends to rust as the powder coat breaks down.
