Would the Nitrons for sale in the classifieds at the mo be a str8 switch for the standard ones on my car or would they not fit - would get them fitted / set up properly - just wanted to know if they ok for a Chim?

Have a word with Warren at Topcats, one thing I can tell you is that the valving on Gaz Shocks is completely different from a Tuscan to a Chim/Griff but they are interchangable, the difference is only 15mm in length on the rear and that can be taken up on height adjustment.
Maybe you could have them revalved if necessary by Nitron.

you can certainly have them revalved, but at 50 pounds per damper it's surely better to get some chimaera specific versions?

Jools is talking sense but you have to weigh this up, a new set would be £1100 inc VAT Versus £800 with the revalve, still save 300 squids.

Well not quite .. 600 for the dampers .. 50 pounds each plus vat for the rebuilds, plus changing the damper bodies for the right lengths, say 20 pounds per body plus vat, then new rods say 18 pounds each plus postage two ways .. and you've pretty much paid for a bespoke set of nitrons tailored specifically to your tastes brand new ..
