Chimaera in pieces on garage floor.

I've spent the last two days taking the clutch out (in the poring rain), and it's now in pieces on the garage floor.

I am planning some power upgrades in the future and don’t want to replace the clutch now only to have to do it again in six months time.

1) Can anyone tell me how much torque the standard clutch on a chimaera 4.0 can take ? Will it handle 280-300lbft of torque ?

2) What is the part number and where is the most "economical" place to buy one ?

3) If the standard 4.0 clutch wont hold 280lbft would a 5.0 clutch fit ? what’s the part number ?

Any help or advice would be gratefully received as I need to order the parts a.s.a.p. and start putting it back together.

Give these guys a call: www.v8developments.co.uk/ Tell them what you want to do with regards to upgrades on the engine and they will be able to sell you the correct clutch.

The clutch all in is about £230, then you want to change the release fork thats about another £30. Also while its in bits on the floor it might be a good idea to have a look at the fuel lines and replace any that are worn or cracking, as you have access to them all the way to the injectors.
