I noticed over the weeekend that when I switch to full beam the illumination around the hazard light goes out and when switched back to dipped headlights it comes back on ! Is this another special feature I've missed ?

I've got another feature at the moment. When I brake my front headlights come on!

That's an easy one. One of your break/tail lamps is inserted wrongly. This happens because there is an accidental short between the tail and break lamp pins in the duel function lamp socket.

Factory option 75 out of several million. I have option 76: the illumination around the hazard switch flashes on and off with the right-hand indicator.

I think option 77 does it with the left. Or is 77 a combination of 75 & 76?

Special feature no.746 on mine - the ticking speedo (every 10th of a mile) causes the backlight to flicker slightly.

Had same problem with headlights coming on when braking in my old S3. Turned out to be a faulty stoplight/sidelight bulb which was shorted inside.

I didn't know the hazard switch illuminated at all until you pressed the button - perhaps I have option 77?
I also recently upgraded to the finger bowl (N/S only) although the silly twits at the factory fitted my twin foot spas behind the front seats. Now how the hell am I supposed to use them eh?

Just a thought, you're not getting confused with the rear fog light switch are you?
Rear fogs are supposed to work on dipped beam only.

Derekg500 has Option 78 on his Griff - the reverse lights come on at full throttle. Very scary when following one of his overtaking moves

Well spotted Ribol. My mistake. I knew what I meant
anyway ! So why the the reason about fogs and dipped beam only ?

So maybe if TADTS I don't have a special feature after all. Sure it won't be long before I find another though.

Nothing to do with TVR, all cars are the same by law. The reason is that when you drive in fog, the higher main beam lights up the fog in front of you and you have less visability. With headlights dipped they light up the road surface more and visibility is much improved.
You would only have the rear fogs on with fog(in a perfect world) so it does not allow you to use main beam at the same time.
