In which case you must fit a roll-over bar since the last thing you want is to be held in an upright position by a 4pt harness if the vehicle rolls and there's no rollover protection.
Rollcenter make a bar with harness mounting points and Tower View Racing fit them, complete with lower mounting points welded onto the chassis, so you get to keep the lap-and-shoulder belts as well, which is very convenient, since full harnesses are a PITA in everyday use.

I've got Tower View/Rollcentre and four point harnesses as well. Superb combination that not only surely increases safety but also holds you in to the seat making for better 'feel' when pressing on.
Insurance Co were a bit hesitant, but given it was professionally fitted haved only increased the excess a bit (goodness knows what logical process of actuarial analysis lead to that, but there you go...).

Havent got a Harness yet but belive the Willan Caterham one is used by Tower View whos Roll Bar I have.
I have Luke harnesses - the short type designed for Caterhams, with aircraft style buckles. I was recommended to get 4" straps, which I did - they're much more comfortable than narrower straps. I'm very pleased with them.
(BTW, the Tower View bar is actually made by Rollcentre.)

Yeah I knew they made it, tried to buy one direct from them as they are only about 30mins from me... they told me to deal with Tower View

Tower View hold the rights to the design so you can only buy this via Tower View.
Rights to a roll cage design,what a joke.
I better make sure I put a patent on mine then

Check with your insurance before commiting to a roll bar as we have been told the premium will increase as they think you're going to track it more!!!!!
Mannings; No change.
Sunninghill; Increase in excess.
Elephant £900 increase in premium, on top of a £1000 premium already.

I ordered them over the 'phone and they came a couple of days later - they're made to order in the UK. I don't think they have a web shop.

roughly or exactly how much for this mod. I have just changed my insurer to Manning, excellent deal! and as i now get free track day cover i was considering the bar and harness. I have to admit that i quite like the thought of the harness due to the lack of airbag and because they just look so damn good. Please forgive me!!

For the Tower View bar supplied and fitted, about £1000. Some cars require additional harness mounts to be welded onto the chassis backbone so the harness eyebolt clears the seat runner. Then you've got the cost of the harnesses on top.
It's worth it though, not just for safety, but also the fact that the harnesses hold you in to the seat so you can feel what the car's doing more.
