I posted this in the General Section when I really meant to do it in here, so apologies to anyone reading this for the second time......

My last service was at Kings in Warwick. I struggled to separate the telephone number from the charge and figure that at 8 years old my Chimaera won't be too devalued by having non TVR servicing.

Can anyone recommend somewhere close to Milton Keynes that will do an adequate job for a more sensible charge and won't take a week to do it.

I don't know what you call 'close', but Tower View Racing are at the bottom of the M1.

Tower View do all the work on my V8S and I recommend them. There are plenty of alternatives, though. To the north there are Team Proactive, TVR Power, Colin Blower, Steve Guglielmi (that spelling doesn't look very convincing?), further south and west there are LeeBee, Moore Racing, Topcats Racing, David Gerald and so on, in the east there are two (last time I checked) branches of Offord. So plenty to choose from. Quite a few of these outfits concentrate on racing and do servicing as a sideline, which is ideal if you're after something a bit special but be prepared for your routine service to be delayed during the summer if somebody stuffs a racer!

Hope this helps,
Peter Humphries (and a green V8S)

If you've got a big garage to work in you could try Stuart Martin (stuart@cerberusmotorsport.co.uk). He runs a mobile workshop and did mine in September when it was warm and dry outside. He did a splendid job at a very reasonale rate. If you want more details e-mail me off line.
