Water Wetter and Leven Wiper upgrade -gimic or godsend?

Hey everyone,

finally got round to buying the Leven wiper upgrade, great service haven't got the car just now, see other post, but will fit on return.

Has anyone used the Water Wetter which is on sale at Leven at the minute. I bought a bottle, don't know why, impulse thing. Anyway is it any good or just gimic?

have fitted Leven wiper blades and very pleased with them. Have used water wetter for a number of years in various V8s just as reassurance when travelling abroad normally hotter there. Cannot say it works but I have not had problems. If it does what it says then ok but I have never noticed any temperature drop but would not expect to as thermostat controls temp. My car always runs near to 90 deg. does not vary as others report but I do not think temp should vary much. On ordinary cars temp guage does not go up and down so why should it on TVRs ?

The Leven Wiper system has covered welll over 10k miles on my car now... still working, no problems and very happy with them.

I've got water wetter in my car. It seems to help.. and during the summer months the indicated temperature did drop when it was put in. I now use it as a matter of course. It's one of those things that wont save a knackered system, but will help the effeciency of a good one.

Thanks Podie and mark. I am sure that when i get the car back i will not regret the leven wiper system purchase at all. I was just a little unsure whether or not i had wasted some money on the water wetter stuff. Just rescued the bottle from my new Springer pup last night; i think she liked the colour!!

That pup seems to be chewing some stuff!

It was my other Springer (Dylan) that ate the inside of the Discovery. Daisy (i didn't choose that name) is 'doing' the garage, garden and house as we speak!!

How much is the wiper upgrade?

Does it stop the blades from sitting half way up the screen on the passenger side?

Arms and blades i think around £58, but now the passenger side blade sits down on the bottom.

problem is, if I upgade the missus will be able to see how bad my driving is??????

Position of arms (and blades) on screen is dependant on where you fit them! However, the 'quaint' Austin Rover worm and rack wiper systems always wear so you get a slight delay on wipes. This slack will allow the wiper to creep up the screen after parking it at the bottom. All depends how worn it is.

My car doesn't venture out if wet but I got caught coming back from Snetterton a couple of weeks back and I can vouch 100% for effectiveness of the Leven Wiper Kit.
