hood re-trimmed, now leaking like never before

Had it done 2 weeks ago, have owned the car since 97' no leaks. Now every day is wash out day. the water is behind both seats and on the parcel shelf - do I just need to fabsil it, or is it much worse than that ? Tried to identify where leak(s) are but it just looks like the whole rear hood has given up.

I had exactly the same problem with my chim, in the end I used thompson water seal all over the stitching and the hood itself which did improve things.
However, I still experienced leaks from the back of the window down to parcel shelf and always behind the drivers seat, in the end I used a car cover but it was a pin putting it up and down all the time.
However, not wanting to 'damp your spirits' in the end I swapped it for a Cerb as it got moudly and was taking away the pleasure of owning a Trevor - hope you get it sorted.

You'll need about 3 or 4 coats of Thompson's Water Seal - allow each to dry, about 30 mins, between coats - and then it will stop. Fabsil probably works too but I always use TWS. Make sure you put masking tape round the plastic window and along the bodywork adjoining the fabric and plenty of cover over the inside of the car. You can then be liberal with application along the stitching.

Fourth year of ownership and I'm still using the same (small-ish) can of Fabsil!

I decant it into a plastic cup and paint it on, using a 2" brush, once in the spring and again in the autumn. Two coats, one after another, and the car has never leaked.

Now, (sorry for the thread hijack!) can anyone suggest a cure for my door speakers thumping /banging when the radio is on? It sounds like a power surge & started happening a week ago. It means that I can't use the unit.
Is it maybe a blown fuse somewhere?

Due to work constraints I won't be able to get back on PHs until this time tomorrow- but I'd appreciate any advice.

Don't have it up so loud? sorry - no real help - I listen to TVR FM from my twin mounted subwoofers in the boot.
