Front Hub Carriers

Does anyone know if the hub carriers are a tvr fabricated part or from someones parts bin.

I believe the actual hubs are ford. I assume the carriers cant be sierra as doesnt that use struts on the front ?


I only ask as i've been since i saw the 4x4 v8 mg midget at the nec at the weekend

They've got Ford on the casting. I think they could well be the lower part of a sierra/escort strut with the bottom of the damper housing clamped in where the machined adaptor is on the Chim upright. I'll ask my brake man, as he's bought several to compare and contrast the various setups TVR have offered on the Chim/Griff over the years.

so if they are sierra then the 4x4 driveshafts etc could be made it fit..... mmmm then all i need is to site a quaife diff and a transfer box, or maybe use the ford gearbox as you can mate that to the rv8
