Oil spitting from the exhaust

Went to the PH rolling road day today. Good news, the old 450 is now putting out 259BHP after having all her little problems sorted. Big Smile.
Now the bad news - while testing they noticed she was spitting a bit of oil out the tail pipes. Not burning, no smoke but spitting out. I am thinking maybe a blocked breather so I will get out the bible and check out the pipework. But is there anything else I should be looking at ?
Car runs sweetly, lots of power no other problems , uses about 1 Litre oil per 1000 miles no doubt caused by this spitting.

You sure its Oil, mine spits out black carbonised water when warming up...
hmmm I guess it could be - I had driven about 70 miles to get there, then she sat for an hour waiting - quick tick over to get her back to temp then a blat on the rolling road up to 6k could just be water I guess.
If 1000 miles/litre is normal then nothing to worry about :-)
(Im still going to check the breather pipes just for peace of mind tho)
