Pootling in traffic

Being a Londer I spend a lot of time <30mph and have found the chim does not like moving in 1st or second with the clutch out and the accelerator pedal not pressed. I would have thought that as the V8 has a hefty amount of torque at low revs it would be happy to roll along with no revs but the clutch engaged. It stutters amd I have to dip the clutch all the time.
Is this normal? anything I could do to improve things? I have looked at a mark adams chip but havn't got the cash at prresent.

Normal. The revs are unstable at idle, therefore so is forward movement.

She likes a few revs!

As 2SB said! The engine's tuned and you'll have noticed just how happy it is when the throttle's open: a mountain of power and as smooth as silk. Part of the trade-off is that the idle is a bit rough, despite it being a very torquey motor.

Have noticed,when using my everyday'bloggsmobile'in London traffic,rear mirror always filled by British Gas van(fastest thing on 4 wheels)..venture out in Chim,car in front slows to 20 mph-and it IS hard to hold a Chim down to these speeds.
