front grill???
Discussion
whilst stopping for petrol on an uneventfull journey, i noticed that for some strange reason, the front grill of my chimp was hanging off and the number plate was nowhere to be seen. the grill looks in quite bad shape so i'd like to replace it. does anyone have any suggestions what grill to go for if there is a choice. (1994 model) also headlights have decided to dim and only one works on full beam. i live in essex and dont know of any local specialists, can anyone help!!
If the grill has been damaged it might have damged the wiring and caused some problems. The most important thing about that grille is maintaining the air flow through it. Smaller holes may look nicer but may cause overheating.

I've fitted an 11"x3" front plate to the standard grill, looks goodand actually lets some airflow through.Seems to drop the temp by about 3deg when cruising!Got mine through www.malplates.co.uk within 48hrs ,not sure what'll happen when the laws change in new year regulating the production of non-standard platesWhat's next!
Different front grill's . my grill as prevented my car from overheating .have a look

The key point is the size of the mesh not if it is mesh. On the S series, TVR had to go to a bigger mesh to prevent overheating. There have already been a couple of Chimaeras that have overheated when their owners fitted different meshes so it is importent to get this right.
