I'm looking to get a Chimaera in the next few months so I've been lurking here for a while...

Just wondering, do Chimaeras generally have metric or imperial sized nuts/bolts etc? I'm guessing it's a mixture. Do they differ depending on age?

With this info I can start writing my Christmas list!

The engine/transmission fasteners are mainly metric.

The running gear is a mixture of metirc/imperial(the wishbone to chassis are imperial)


Although some people say the tools most chimaera owners have are golf caddys/hairbrushes and dryers.............

Go for the Metrinch spanner set. They do both imperial and metric and work on the flats so no rounded nuts.

They really do work. I have a spanner set and socket set and even managed to undo body bolts that were lumps of rust.

Dumb question as i have been down the pub.
Do griff owners think the only people that buy chims play golf...i have nothing against golf players or griff drivers....and i really do have a sense of humour...this really is a tongue in cheek question...

It all started with TVR marketing - boot big enough for TWO sets of clubs!

As if anyone cares.

Still, it pushed some buttons with Griff owners as their boot isn't even big enough to get the targa top in!!!
