pedal adjustment

Well, my first practical problem is reaching the pedals comfortably. At 5'9" with short legs, I've got the driver's seat as far forward as it goes and I can just get the clutch pedal down to the floor with the tip of my toes. To do it comfortably I have to slide down in the seat and and lie back a little but this isn't an ideal driving position for me. I know the pedals adjust but is that for width or height? (I've also had to watch what shoes I wear cos the pedals are quite close together).
I'd appreciate any advice.

Clutch and brake pedals are adjustable, accelerator pedal is not but it can be easily bent. If more adjustment is needed leven do all three pedals with an extra long adjuster giving an extra 2.5 inches approx over standard. With the seat forward and the pedals at full adjustment even my girlfriend at 5ft can reach comfortably.

Hi guys,

The brake and clutch are adjustable by undoing the locking nut and winding the pedal thread out (or in). I found my throttle pedal was adjustable by following the cable back up (involves lying round in the footwell!) and adjusting the sliding bracket that attaches it to the pedal assembly. There are two locknuts and a cutout provided for this purpose.

If you find its adjusted out as far as it will go I can only suggest Herman Munster shoes!!

Leven do a set of long pedals - my wife is 4ft 11in and with the Leven pedals and with a custom seat back from TVR she is fine in our Chim.....well hers!

Cheers for the comments folks. I reckon it's on my back in the floor well to adjust the pedals - hopefully there'll be plenty of adjustment in them seeing as the bloke I bought the car from was about 6'3"!
