Leven Technology. They do a reconditioning service for front and rear badges and are fantastic!

Give them a call on 01268 281611

Actually they're nuts. The bonnet ones are quite visible when you lift it. The rear ones are under the carpet.

I got a new 'TVR' one (for the bonnet) from the local main dealer this summer. I think it came in at less than £14. H L Gorner, Ashton (Wigan).

They should be bolted (nutted?) on, but not always. When I swapped mine for Leven ones, the rear has only one nut; the other side had sheared, and the badge was actually sikaflexxed on! I've had the car from new, so it must have come from the factory like that.

Mine had bolts and sikaflex, I think that the sikaflex was more for waterproofing than fixing though.

My rear badge came off ok, but one of the bolts on the front sheared off when I was removing it. Luckily there was just enough thread left to bolt it up again.

I had mine reconditioned by Leven and converted to gold colour at the same time (looks good with Crimson Starmist) and they look great. Just for information though, they can not fix new bolts on for you.

Be very careful when tightening as the bolt is very prone to coming away from the badge. Suggest the addition of a spring washer and be careful. Leven badges are great - they will refurb existing or can buy and resin coat the new badge. I went for gold only too on the front as this was the original ordered item when the car was new. After the respray they fitted standard gold/black.

I think the point is that you wouldn't say something was 'nutted' on to something...

Anyway, back on topic...

I got oner of the new style adhesive "TVR" badges for the front (silver and black), it is much neater and does not collect polish like the old one did. Cost about £3 from the local TVR dealer. Also matches the leven 'silver resin coated' Chimaera 450 (and PistonHeads) badges at the rear exactly. You can see it on my profile picture.
