I had to leave my P&J in the station car park last week. It was parked miles from anyone else.
When I got back that evening, my blood ran cold - the passenger door had a damn great hole in it! Nooooo!
Apopleptic with rage, I notice there's a note under the wiper....apologizing for "scratching" (GBH, more like) my car.
Anyhow, it included a name and a number. It totally restored my faith in human nature. I mean, how many people, hand on heart, would have left their details? I like to think I would, but I'm honestly not sure.
I called the woman in question(well it wouldn't have been a bloke, now, would it???), we swapped details, she's admitted liability and hey presto, my car is being picked up for repair next week! The best news is I may be getting either another Tiv, or something like a Boxter as a courtesy car for the 3 weeks my car will be away. Result!!
Aparrently she was driving hubby's car (which does not have parking sensors, unlike her own car, which does) She kept reversing, waiting for the beeping....until CRUNCH! Get the picture? Quite amusing really. If it wasn't my car.
Just hope they do a good job with the paintwork. Anyone had experience of Westover Coachworks in Poole?

Hi Sharky,as you say could have been a worse result.The lady's innocent explanation reminds me of my aunt years ago pulled over doing 48 in a 30,in her then new Granada 2.8.."Oh officer,why do they make these cars so fast?"..needless to say,he let her off!Hope repair all goes ok.

Westover Bodycare are great! However the rest of the Westover Group seem to use the "Bend Over Sir" pricing structure. I speak from experience with Westover Landrover, Westover Sports Cars and Westover Jaguar. Can't say any more online, mail me for details.
Also, I've heard that Dominic (who was a great bloke) has left Westover.

..well from my own experience Westover TVR/Lotus/Whatever they are now we're most helpful to me a few months ago when I had problems with the TVR..

Yes they are pricey an "A" service by them was quoted as £320 and at £120 by a Lotus specialist.
Have ahd the whole of my front clam resprayed under warranty, due to excessive stone chips, long story, but they agreed to it.
Paint job was excellent. Stone chips subsequent to the work are far less prevellent.
Overall pretty good, they do seem to try.

Just saw my Chim trailered off to the bodyshop 
But...10 mins later, brand new Boxter arrived!! But, I got to tell you, I dont really know what the fuss is about. First impressions....No torque, soggy brakes, cant get comfy, woeful visibility.
But it certainly is nicely screwed together, with absolutely no smell of glue. I am also confident it won't leak!
I am going to take the scenic route home tonight, and see if I can learn about this amazing handling it's rumoured to possess...

I had one of these while my car was in for repair.
I found the same as you, with regard to brakes etc.
Then after a few days it rained, and it leaked. Also one weekend it started losing coolant, I was putting in 2 pints a day, and I was only traveling 10 miles. I told the hire company about this, but they did not believe me, (I`m an engineer, the final straw was when the alarm went haywire and would not turn off, kept sounding every few minutes and would not let me lock the car! and people moan about TVR's, I only had the boxster 2 weeks!
Eventually they took it back and supplied me with a 911 - which was nice.
Sorry for the rant, could not help it. Hope the tiv is back soon.
