Wipers got stuck halfway today. Give them a little shove and they worked again.
Lifted bonnet and turned the wipers on, they worked for a bit then stopped again, but moved with a little shove.
I noticed smoke coming fropm the wiper motor, so am assuming it is knackered.
Is there anything else I should check before splashing out.
If I do need a new one, can someone point me to a supplier, part number, price etc?
Thanks in advance.

The smoke from the motor is obviously not a good sign bit not necessary terminal. My wipers occasionally stick despite a recent new motor.
I suggest that you remove the cover where the drive connects to the motor and check that its nicely lubed with no obvious faults. You can then also manually operate the wipers and see just how much work the motor is doing. It's easier with some lubrication on the windscreen, eg rain. Some lucky WD40 on the wiper pivots may help.

Cheers mate.
A bit of lube it is then. The fact that the motor still works despite the smoke gave me hope of saving it.

I had a problem with me wipers. They stopped working! I cleaned the terminals, tested the wipers and fantastic, they work!!
i was happy and about to go out for a drive when i turned the wipers off and the wipers just kept on going! maybe i cleaned them too well or maybe ive just got one of the TVR's that was built at 4:55 on a friday arvo when everyone wanted to go home.
anyway, can anyone suggest what i may have done wrong and help me stop my wipers?

wipers stop when i turn ignition off but start again when i turn ignition back on.
if i turn ignition off and remove key, put key back in and turn on, wipers stay off.
i have now invested in that windscreen stuff that makes the rain bead off so probably wont need wipers but its always a useful feature on a car!
thanks.

Just had a new wiper motor fixed to mine by the dealer; they covered the new one with a folded section of thin rubber as rain water will run straight off the windscreen onto it otherwise; this will corrode and likely cause seizure in time; could be what happened to your current one.
