Didn't realise these were on the options list, but when I use my windscreen washers at the moment, instead of a clean windscreen I get an accumulation of water behind the dash. Go round a corner and it sprinkles out all over my feet. How charming!

Also, I gather that ther only access for repair of this p1ss simple hose connection is by taking the dash out. Hmmm, that'tt be cheap then.

This will be the third visit to the garage in 6 weeks (diff recon & bushes, sump seal, door switch). Yet even with my wet (but please note not frozen because the washer fluid has anti-freeze in) feet and bruised cheque book, the car remains such a bloody pleasure to drive. That's TVR, I guess.

Had the same - the pipe inside the dash was only just long enough to stretch between the connections - so it was always in tension and eventually came adrift.

Steve Howard fixed it in 10 minutes - no need for dash off just feed a longer pipe in from under the bonnet.

Give him a call if you want to know more but the dash does not have to come off.

u cant get 2 it if its the drivers side without the dash off or from the front where the bulk head is but thats a sealed box so u cant get in from there either! if its come off at the drivers side remove the bonet catch or take 1 bolt out and swing it out the way then with your line of site at the washer jet drill a 32mm hole with a flat cutter through the bulk head (nice i no) then with the hole drilled u can see the pipe thats come off, long nose plyers will pull it out so u can shove it back on. get a rubber gromet and seal the hole up and re fit the bonet catch and u cant see i thing. 20 min job and if it comes off again just take the grommet out and re do, better than dash out and doing it that way.

It's a fiddly but relatively easy job to get the dash out - there was a thread on here many moons ago where someone had taken pics of their attempt to do it - maybe three years athough so can't find it. Maybe do a search on dashboard?

I've had the same problem AND the dash has just been off for broken wiper drive. I'd be interested in seeing that description of taking the dash off, I don't fancy paying someone £150 to take it off AGAIN for a stupid simple problem.
