Chimaera spares?

Hi Guys,

With the demise of TMS, does anybody have any idea where you can source decent 'service' parts?

Air, oil and fuel filters and suchlike?

those bits are easy, the standard air filter is a Pipercross, doesn't need replacing only cleaning, any Pipercross dealer can supply you with the necessary oil/cleaner.
The oil filter is a standard Rover item part number ESR0374 and the fuel filter part number is G3829.

As for the rest either ask on here or speak to Austec etc

Thats just what I was after. Funny thing about that is, I have a mate who manages a chicken farm in Cullompton - i've probably driven past the place many times without even knowing it was there!

You probably already know, but there's a lot more to servicing a TVR than just replacing the consumables.

...and dont buy parts that are 'just as good if not better than bosch or lucas' get the original bits for the car or you can end up chasing faults...i speak from my own stupidity!!!

I certainly do know that!

Mine is a daily driver, though not far, and I fancy changing filters and oil more often than the service schedule allows. It doesn't seem to do the oil any good to only do short drives in this sort of weather.

Been looking at the service schedules though, and it appears that the air filters are only replaced every 12,000 - just checked at other times. Is it correct that you can just clean it?

yes...rinse all the old oil out (I used petrol then soapy water then clean water) and re-oil when fully dry...if you have the pipercross
