battery dead can't get in

When I was first introduced to the Cmimaera I had the same trouble. Battery went flat and got locked out. The way to get in is quite simple but i do not want to broadcast it through this medium as it is open to allsots of people, some perhaps less honest than others, who may use this method to make off with our pride and joy. Paul (original poster) is the chap who bought my Chim. I emailed him last night and told him how to get in.

He had tried contacting Ian in Middlewich but he wasn't there. You can trust Paul, hes allright.

I am starting to get paranoid now, I must be the only member of this forum that does not know. No doubt when the time comes it will be by sods law in the middle of the night, or early when i'mm late.

I still find it hard to beleive the people can't work this out for themselves. I can guarantee any scrote who wanted to nick your P&J would within seconds; all this cloak and dagger stuff is a trifle silly IMHO.

Sorry to disappoint you with my ignorance and the fact that I have never had to force entry into a car.
I may of been over complicating things in my mind and expected a secret button or lever.

I make a habit of locking myself out of the car - any car. I'm a liability with keys. I do the same with houses as well. Most cars it's not so easy to get in; I've spent 3 hours waiting in a motorway petrol station with my keys locked in the ignition before now. I did it with a Lexus when on holiday in Florida - that was fun. Good job my better half is small enough to get through a ski hatch, or that would have turned out quite expensive. Most difficult car to break into apparently, even for a professional locksmith.

Perhaps this unfortunate habit of mine explains why it took me all of about 5 seconds to work out how to compromise a Chimaera's "security" I'd recommend that anyone who has one of these cars finds out how to get in in this way. If you were ever tempted to leave anything on view in the car you won't after you find out.
