just bought some leven bits cos i was bored and i was wondering how you have stuck the blower switch cover on as the adhesive pad dont seem to hold it very secure ,has anyone just stuck it in place with somthing like araldite so it feels as though its part of the car....

The adhesive pad supplied with the blower switch works well provided the plastic knob is clean. Some owners have used other adhesives and generally the non-hard setting types work best eg. Bostik Clear or silicon.

I've had a similar problem with the aluminium knob that fits over the intermittent wiper twister. The double sided pad stuck to the plastic but doesn't keep the aluminium knob on because it's hollow and only has a limited contact are. At the moment tha aluminium bit is somewhere under my seat after falling off.

i have had the same problem with the windscreen wiper speed control knob... seems to stay there ok, but you have to be careful not to over turn it otherwise you twist it off. Was a little unsure as to whether to use something like bostik as if it failed it might eat into the standard plastic knob..?

thanks for the help people, i guess that araldite or superglue is not recommended.

The new type intermittant wiper control from Leven is a different shape to the original, and they recommend using glue rather than a sticky pad. I used UHU General Purpose, ans so far (about 6 weeks) all OK.
