Trade-in Question

Having embraced South-East trains as a viable method of getting to work I'm looking to trade in my trusty Audi A4 for a Chimaera.

I'm planning to sell it via AutoTrader/PH shortly after the Christmas slump but I was just wondering if any TVR dealers would take it as part exchange. Has anyone managed to trade a 'Euro-box' for a TVR at a specialist dealer or are they just not interested?

Finally, any dealer recommendations? I'm based near Tunbridge Wells. Adrian Blyth looks to be worth a look, any others near to me?

why dont you start by ringing Adrian Blyth. Ask to speak with Peter and see if he is interested in the p/x. I would say far more chance of you being able to px your audi at a TVR dealer than p/xing your TVR at an Audi dealer...

Peter is the salesman, Adrian does own and run the place but often busy and Peter more accessible. He posts on PH as apprentice, thoroughly nice chap and my dealings with him have been A1. I would say that if you are going to get a deal on a p/x, AB's is a good starting point. Of course, it goes without saying that the best deal would be to flog the A4 and do a cash deal on a TVR...

Hi ,

All the dealer will do is pick up there glasses guide or cap and phone around for bids for you. You will always get more selling it privatley if you can take the hassle. By the way I work for an Audi dealer if you email me details i'll give you a guide on trade value. Anything you are offered over and above this is just an over allowance/discount on the car you are buying.

I part exchanged a 200SX at Adrian Blyth's place a few years ago, against a Chimaera, and I got a really good price for it.

He's difinitely worth a go.
