Wiper parking tip

Last year my windscreen wiper parking sensor thingy failed and I lost wipers completely. We all know how pathetic TVR wipers are - as soon as screen dries out, they get stuck as not enough power in the motor. Anyway.....

This week, my wipers started parking all over the screen, and in this weather they're used alot! Something to fix when I have time etc.

Then someone pulls me over to say my brake lights have failed. Various testing revealed the circuits were fine.... when I checked the manual for fuse location, well I never; same fuse as the wiper parking!!

So if your wiper parking goes awry - check your brake lights (and it's fuse 18: 20A)

Usual disclaimer applies, TVR may have used a different fuse box, or wired your car on a Monday or Wednesday, in which case you may have a totally different circuit, or it might even be wired directly to the battery terminals. Any rights you may have had are removed at the time of purchase.

Ah yes, good point Pods - I guess I should be impressed that my manual page looks just like what I found in the car - at least the fuses match; the other bits sort of do!

I noticed on mine that the windscreen wiper motor is under the dash and not just in front of the windscreen on the passenger side, under the bonnet like most of the others. Needless to say I haven`t had any problems with mine. Yet! Guess mine was made on a Tuesday. Merry Crimbo to you all.

Same here, i have recently bought a slightly later car and noticed the wiper motor was misssing when i inspected under the bonnet. bet you can guess what i did next, yep, i just had to try the wipers just to make sure they worked.

Well, don't laugh, could have just been used in the dry or something
