I have heard that a Range Rover throttle cable is used on the Chimaera. Anybody know if that is correct?

Thanks in advance

I've heared the same, but not comfirmed it. I bought mine through a dealer to ensure that I got exactly the right part. Sometimes with TVR even if you match a manufacturers part number you can't be sure whether they have modified it (fuel pressure regulator?) or done a 'cut and shut' on two different parts (steering column UJ for example). Going through a dealer/specialist is a good bet unless you're absolutely sure you know where the part comes from.

Resurrecting this old thread after using the search.

Is the throttle cable for a Chim 4.5 a Rover part?

That might be why they don't come in packaging ?
Could do with some manufacture numbers to compare.

Most likely donor vehicle would be a late 80's early 90's RangeRover maybe?
Same sort of length I'd imagine.

I had mine replaced a while back and IIRC a Range / Land Rover cable was used despite being longer. It just doubles back on itself
