Hi, I know there's a lot of info on this subject but I can't seem to find the answer to my problem. The door opening, closing, locking and unlocking all work fine until the central locking button is pressed. Then the only way to cancel the central locking is to open the passenger door from inside the car. As I have now accidently pressed the button and locked myself out of the car several times I would like to solve this problem.

Any suggestions? Explanations how the system functions may help me address the problem.

Thanks

Have you tried setting and unsetting the alarm that should then relase the central locking

See if the latches are secure on the body, the bolts sometimes need tightning(allen key,4mm I think,3 bolts),this may cause your problem if everything else is working.

Thanks for the suggestions, activating then dis-arming the alarm cancels the central locking providing the engine isn't running. This leads me to think it's a switch, earth or poor connection relating to the drivers door. The problem now is the fault has cleared itself so apart from setting the door operating cables I'll just have to wait for it to re-appear.

Hi again, The problem happens when I get home from work jump out of the car to open the garage door. The engines running hence not being able to arm, dis-arm to get back in. I'm convinced I've found found the problem though, I noticed that the interior light flickers when I open the drivers door and hope the door switch is also the trigger signal to release the central locking. So plan to clean/ change the item shortly.
