Optimax again

I know Optimax is the norm for most peeps and it is mine as well, but the inevitable happened this week and I had to put two fill ups of BP ultimate instead due to lack of a Shell garage. Anyhoo the chim felt down on power and I was getting a bit perturbed until I refilled back to Optimax tonight, having never run the chim on anything but until this week I am suprised at the difference.

I ran my previous two cars on Optimax and it made more of a difference to my old V6 Alfa 156 than the LCR so I know it can make a difference but I was still suprised at how much.

I get the same in Reverse - BP Ultimate is lovely, Optimax is like sticking a trailer on the back...

I guess it depends what the car (and the ECU) are used to.
