Chaps,

Where is the earth for the fans and what does this attach to? I have had to rig a wire from the earth lead of the fans to block itself to ensure that the fans work properly, i.e. if this is not connected to the engine then the fan barely come on, the windscreen wipers go and the indicators are on permenently (I assume this is a faulty or loose earth connection)

Thanks for you time,

Ozzie.

There's a bunch (dunno if that's the correct collective noun) of earths where the body bolt to the chassis, under the radiator return pipe (Drivers side) this is why it was hidded on mine when I fixed it recently. Although Steve SHpub says the earths should be on the other side Either way that's the one you want

There are four earths. The fan one is a swine to get to and is best attacked from the front and is under the rad and is where the body is bolted to the front of the car. Very long extension bar and socket is called for. There are piccies of it in the new edition.

All 4 of mine are bolted on in the same place, and it's not "under" the rad but just behind it (by a few inches). You can get at it with a spanner (17mm)

Thanks for your help chaps... all is fine now. Steve I currently have your old book which details the 2 earth underneath the transmission tunnel/dashboard - for future knowledge... where are the other earth points?

Thanks once again, Anthony.

You know where the third one is now. The fourth is in the driver front wheel arch on the chassis. Take wheel off and you'll see it.
