Geometry deficiencies - not GCSE!
Discussion
Had the front tyres on the Chimaera replaced last week and noticed that the wear was uneven on the old tyres. The guys at Racing Green (www.racinggreencars.com) checked the 4 wheel geometry on Saturday and the toe-in setting for both front and back was all over the place. Camber was pretty close to the mark. They also checked to see if the balance of the front wheels had been done properly - surprise, surprise, it hadn't.
So the net result of adjustments is a car that feels much more together, no hint of vibration, better steering feel and I'd expect to get thousands of miles extra wear from the tyres. I was surprised how quickly noticeable the changes in driving feel were, with properly set-up geometry.

If you don't mind me asking what was the final damage for the alignment and rebalancing?

Mine's Starmist Blue. I saw the Ruby one - it was having the same treatment. I'm reluctant to put prices on here since they are not, to my knowledge, listed as a fixed price by Racing Green, and of course rectification could affect the final price. Give John Heywood or Martin a call on 01252 544888 - you probably shared a bacon roll with them on Sunday!
