stuartc said:Yes,i have. When i had my a/c fitted in my last griff,it didn't last long before it ran out.The leak was traced to the component in the n/side wing,of which the name escapes me.It looks a bit like a heater matrix really(sorry but its just too early in the morning!).In all fairness,it could be any joint that's leaking as well,or even a combination. My local a/c man found the leak in my old griff for me.Most mobile types put some dye in a leaky system, then you run it for a while(days),and they come back and check for the dye with uv light to find the leak. You havent said wheather youv'e had this done though? The component i mention,is accesable by removing a panel on the inner wing just by the airflow meter. You cannot take it out through that way,but you can get a good look at some of it.I never had a leak after that faulty from new part was relaced, and i havent had any leaks on my latest griff which i've owned for 13 months now.It also seems its all to easy for careless mechanics to disturb the joints in the pipework and cause leaks, given where theyre situated,so hopefully it's just something as simple as that. One further tip, always run a/c at least once a week is what my mobi chap told me(i guess you can do that!)it keeps all the joint seals lubricated, preventing them from drying out and failing.Sorry for long post, cheers,Mike
Anyone had an air con leak from a specific part
