Outstanding job, highly recommended!!

You can't get rid of stone chips 100% using the chipsaway method, you will always be left with the chip but with paint inside it. The only way to remove stone chips completely is to flatting back the bonnet and respray. It should be "Chips almost away".

For some reason my profile doesn't tell you but I'm a Chipsaway franchisee

That'll depend on how many chips you have! They fill and paint them individually, so if your car looks like the dark side of the moon a front end respray will be a better option. Some Chipaway fanchisees don't actually quote for repairing chips, they're too much work.

Have you looked at Langka BTW? I've used it on a couple of bad chips and it works well. It also uses proper paint.

Could be bad news.
Your car colour looks like Crimson Starmist like mine. Looked into using Chipsaway before and two operators told me that they can't do any starmist colours
Something to do with not being able to get the colour formula to mix their special paint with.

Crimson Starmist also fades badly - most reds do - and is therefore a total pig to colour match anyway. Check the colour of the inside of the doors vs the outside to see if its faded substantially.

Is your car Crimson Starmist?
If it is and they say that they can do something with it I would be very interested to hear.

Hi, I've used them for the bonnet on a Mini and was dissapointed with the results. After five attempts (to his credit) and not achieving a acceptable finish I decided to cut my losses and get the bonnet resprayed. Interestingly I found that any dealings with the Company were limited to them introducing you to thier specialist. So rememember that should you experience a problem you are dealing with the one man and his van not a big company. Therefore it could be down to the individuals level of expertise and experience. Had I known this I would have put the car into a small reputable paint shop.

There was a thread about Lanka on here a couple of years ago, chap swore by it (not at it) Rich...

p.s. There is an Autoexpress review of Langka and Mer scratch remover here, they rated Mer better. www.autoexpress.co.uk/product_test/51477/diy_smart_repairs.html

Used Chipsaway to repair some chips around the boot of my Chim (Silver Stardust)where the previous owners had missed the boot when storing the roof. The results were 100% perfect. I couldn't see where the chips had been.

According to my owners manual the colour is Magenta, (of the metallic variety)... Doeskin 1/2 hide and Cranberry carpets. I knew a guy who had one exactly the same colour so I don't suppose it's a special... and as far as fading goes, there doesn't seem to me much, if any difference between the inside of the door and boot shuts and the outside of the body... mind you that isn't surprising as we don't get much sun up here in the north east. I'll let you know how I get on.
