Thanks Chassis 33 I'll get on the phone to get it!
Feel a bit dum for not managing to find the post through search.

I used to use the parts department from TMS. Are they still around? Delivered the headlight lens the next day and don't remember paying much for it. Bit of a fiddly job to replace the bstard mind you.

Shnozz I'll try them, thanks. Any advice on replacing the lens to minimise the time I spent in the freezing weather would be really helpful. Any special TVR quirkiness I have to expect?

If you have to ask, you dont want to know.

1. Gain acess to wing nuts holding on the headlight cowl
1a. Early cars - remove front grill twist arm into uncomfortable position to put hand on (corroded) wing nuts
1b. Later cars - remove access panel in wheel arch

2. Spray wing nuts liberally with WD40

3. Spray a little more for good measure

4. Using nano robots remove wing nuts holding on headlight cowl

5. Get pi$$ed off with wing nuts, go make a cup of coffee.

6. Return and finally remove wingnuts

7. Not headlight cowl still stuck in place, carefully prise it off the dollups of mastic used to secure it.

9. Wonder what step 8 might of been

10. Using a knife blade arefully score around the mastic holding lense in.

11. Remove lense.

12. Tidy up all old mastic.

13. Make another cup of coffee

14. Refitting is reverse of removal.

Regards
Iain

I am at step 5 and really considering going for a blast, with such good weather (to loosen the nuts....).
