black sikaflex is used a lot on boats which need to be waterproofed, I imagine it would be fine for Tivs.

I wish you luck with the sealant . My tip is use too little rather than too much otherwise it becomes all too visible when you tightened down . If you get the cowling to lok as straight before and after let me know how.

Sikaflex is awsome gear I agree, have used it numerous times below the waterline on my boats.

Not only will it seal it but it also acts as a bonding agent adding strength, and does not degrade like a lot of the cheaper sillicone sealants.

Most of my dinghys have at one point been kept afloat with judicious use of the stuff
We had to shave my brothers head after getting it in his hair after one bodge attempt!

TBH most stuff that can survive a marine environment is going to last well in a motoring context

Any H4 bulb will do to get you back on the road, but for future reference, try here www.powerbulbs.co.uk/ no good for you at the mo as you'll be needing a replacement pretty quick! But if you want a couple of spares.....I bought some of their 'Power Bulbs': Philips Vision Plus H4 (PVPH4) at £15.70 each + £2.75 Tax but their still sitting in the garage as I have yet to fit them !
