Hi,
Yes I replaced mine this time last year using Coverdale carpets. Took the opportunity to change the colour from magnolia with biscuit piping to red with biscuit piping (car being formula red and interior magnolia / biscuit)
A good tip is to keep the old carpet as you pull it all out and label it so you can refer to it when putting in the new carpet (I DIDN'T do this and wish I had as it is a bit of a jigsaw) Also individually bag and label the nuts and bolts from the seats, seatbelt anchors, speakers, door cards, and tunnel.
This exercise also gives you the opportunity to clean off any rust and re grease the hinge mechanism for the backrests etc, as I recall mine were caked in fluff and other dirt from 12 years of use.
But the biggest tip I can give you is take your time. Be patient and all will come good.
Good luck.

If you get in touch with Coverdale they will send you samples of the carpet with the colour you want, and the different materials available. They will also send samples of the piping.
Here's a breakdown of what I had:
Full set 80/20 wool carpet £200.00
1 Set overmats (using my pattern) £51.06 - extra
2 metal heelplates (on overmats) £10.21 - extra
Latex backed felt £19.24
3 cans adhesive spray £7.63 - extra
Also you need to specify that you require extra for the door cards, I think I paid about £25.00. They're not cut to any pattern, and I cant remember how much I asked for, but I do have some left over which is OK for any patching up in the future.
Hope this helps.

Don't short change yourself on the measurements - I was pretty exact and ended up only just having enough to cover the area - you need to leave a few inches extra to tuck behind the panels, you can't see the carpet there but the armrest etc won't sit properly unless the carpet covers the whole door width.
Thanks Gazzad, I think we (well it is actually my girlfriends car) will go from butterscotch to dark red to match the outside. Thanks for the links. What was the cost of the carpet set from coverdale if you dont mind me asking? (Did it include the doors which we wnt to do?)
Ed
Thanks all. It all looks a bit more than I am prepared to do DIY. I am an impactient man when it comes to DIY, and I can see this testing me too much. Not to mention that my girlfriend uses the car every day, so I dont have the luxury of taking a week or two to do it. May have to order from coverdale and find some nice people to fit it. Any reccomendations in the Surrey area?

Did you find someone to fit the coverdale carpets? I'm looking to replace mine. Can you recommend anyone in the Surrey/Hampshire/Berkshire area?
TVR will provide a complete carpet set, doors and all, in any factory colour, will cost circa £500 and will look like new if you use a good carpet fitter; I bought a 1997 Chim recently through a dealer and had all replaced. No doubt you will save money if you DIY, but have you the time to do it?

Racing green in Ash Vale say they have achap who can do this - will find out fitting cost...
Just got off the phone with Racing Green in Ash Vale. They gave me ball park figures of £800 for the cheapest carpet up to around £1000 for the better quality carpet. I'll be heading round there on Friday to take a loook at their samples.
I must remember to ask if the price includes VAT!!
