HELP!!

Bit of Chim virgin, only had mine a couple of weeks and not much time to drive it(crime I know !!). Went to start it up this morning and could n't get into the beast with my key fob thingy :0(

It's fitted with a Sigma Alarm / Immobilizer , so can't do anything !!! Can any one PM me a way of getting in or recommend a good locksmith in East London that's good at opening Chims? Just want to get the battery out and put it on charge.

In spite of being from East London , and this being my 1st posting , I am not a car thief but any help would be appreciated thru a PM

Hiya,

Sorry to bother you, saw your posting in the Chimera posting out being locked out of your car and need your help.

Tried getting in my car today but when I tried my key fob thing, nothing happened...so guess the attery is flat?

Is there an easy way to get in , even just to get the bonnet lid up so I get the batter out an put it on charge or shall I call a locksmith?

Any advice help would be greatful.

Thanks,

Scott

Now call me suspicious, but anybody who asks a question like that about the bonnet and battery clearly doesn't own one.

Sorry if you're legit Scott, but I have my doubts.

How can I prove I am legit? If I was would be car thief would ask I be dumb enough to put posting on here asking how to steal one? Not matter what security you have on a vehicle , if somebody wants to break into it or steal they will.

To save a slanging match, I'll just get a locksmith out be a lot less trouble!

It's Saturday, TVR dealers are open. Use your Chimaera owners handbook and call the last place that serviced it and with other details you have such as VIN number printed in the book as proof. If they aren't around anymore try another.

Or call the person you bought it from if it was a private sale.

Try your V5 or MOT certificate the VIN will be on both, then call any TVR dealership.

Good stuff, most (all) dealers will be open Sunday mornings. They will be able to pass on the necessary info if you give them details on your car.

Hope you understand our reluctance to pass on something this delicate to a recent joiner on here.

Yes I know what you mean especially when I don't know where the batteries are on my car!! As I said it was an honest being a Chim virgin, I've only spent a couple of hours with my car nd don't know it very well. I guess they're a bit like land rovers, all the essential bit are distributed every where!!

When I get back in my Chim, I am planing on doing the London to Monte Carlo thing, any body got any experiences of that?

Isn't this idea that car thieves regularly post here for 'secret' ways to get into the car fairly unlikely. Anyone who wants to pinch the radio/laptop will just chuck a brick through the window.
If there was any market for stolen TVRs (luckily there doesn't seem to be) then the professionals would know how to do it anyway or just lift it onto the back of a lorry...

Exactly. It's a soft top, for Ghod's sake. How difficult is it for a thief to get into it?
