Is it possible to remove them without disturbing the suspension settings? I want to clean, paint & waxoil them. If I leave the hubs attached & unbolt them at the chassis end it wont affect the settings will it?

I would have thought it would be better to have the alignment checked afterwards in any event. You may get away with it if you're not putting in new bushes etc, but it would cost less to have it properly set-up than a pair of replacement tires.

When i first got my Chimaera, HHC put on some new wishbones and then did a full alignment set-up, this made a huge improvement on the way it drove.

I agree. Problem is I need to drive 30 miles to get to the nearest Tiv capable garage so the settings need to be fairly close

I would get it checked anyway, but you wont do much damage to the tyers in 30 miles. If you leave the hub attached to wont affect the camber, but the steering and toe in will have to be reset anyway.

If your pulling the wishbones off you may as well rebush, assumming your on the old rubber,as others have said, maybe wise to to ge an alignment, however (totaly up to you)if you scribe the camber on the front, you'll be within kui.(if "kui" isn't international slang,its:0 NZ for pretty dam close.)
