helo there just a question

Say you had a problem with you chim,
could you fix it your self rather then spending money
at you dealer?

well i would do it myself unless it was already at the dealer/specialist. i like to pride myself with being able to carry out just about any thing mechanical from basic service items to full dockyard jobs apart from spray jobs ...

Depends what it is... how mechnaically skilled you are... what tools and facilities you have... And how much you value your time. Oh It is very easy to screw something up.

One of the ideas behind the bible is to indicate what is involved for the various jobs so that owners could make an informed decision rather than just start and then find things are not what they seemed.

You are probably as dextourous and intelligent as most mechanics

You may lack experience, facilities and tools, not to mention someone who REALLY knows what they're on about when you're confused. Most apprentices don't have to make assumptions.

Assumption is the mother of all fk ups

As Steve says "TVRs are not like other cars", but as some other people say "TVRs are just cars" these are both true but if you don't get the difference, make sure you've got a taste for humble pie for when you ring Dave Batty
