Box and Diff oil
Discussion
I use Redline fully synth MTL in the box and its very smooth, very pleased there.I recently tried the Silkolene fully synth 75/90 GL5 spec, which was noticeably notchier,so went back to MTF.Redline also do a fully synth 75/90 but in GL4 spec, which i'll be trying next time.
In the diff(mines a BTR)i use redline heavy shockproof.I was told that this would be good for all the griff diffs,be it a GKN,Salisbury,or BTR.

everitj said:No,the superlight is different stuff. The MTL(sorry i called it mtf the first time)is on page 283 of the 2006 catalogue, illustrated in the bottom right hand corner. It comes in US quart containers, this is just less than a litre, and you need two litres for the box.Diff oil comes in same quantaties, and you need 1.4 litres on the BTR diff,i think the Salisbury was similar quantity, but don't know about the GKN.
Is that the superlight gear oil? Does not seem to list what size container it is for £15.22
