Beading for Chimaera roof panel
Discussion
I too have a gap at the front of the passenger door. I think something is misaligned with the door itself but cannot reach far enough through the speaker aperture to get the door panel off - anybody got any suggestions for doing this apart from employing the services of an orangutan!

If you were closer I`d say pop round and I`ll use my skinny arms to undo the bolts!
I`ve hod both mine off a few times now (door trims that is)

I had something similar recently - removed the rubber strips from the roof panel and refitted now I have no gap - seems they had mecome misaligned in their slots and werent sitting quite right. And of course this gave me hours of fun as the damn things were glued in at one end...
Oh and of course there is the other reason why theres a gap - if I dont get the roof fitted just SO then theres a gap..sometimes takes me 2 or 3 goes at putting it on and wiggling to get it in just the right place.

I too had the gap at the front of the windows. I even replaced the rubber seals with new pieces, but to no avail.
So I glued a length of suitably cut and shaped bicycle inner tube to the seals - from the front of the seal, the length of the inner tube run was about 3 inches on the drivers side, about 2 inches on the passengers.
Bingo - the job's a goodun. No gap, and no more wind whistling!!

How far back do you have to reach - there seemed to be some sort of rubber flap hindering movement too??
This is well described in the bible, following the description and with patience it can be done and isnt half as tricky as removing the dash top! Window adjustment is the obvious remedy, but failing that,
1: as above, try removing and re fitting the roof panel i sometimes get a small gap until i release and reclamp the roof, sometimes with a deft thump on top to make sure its fully seated.
2: the seal on the roof edge is hollow, so, to expand the seal slightly, lubricate a length of windscreen washer hosing (about 6mm outside diameter) and feed this down the hole in the seal for its full length then trim off to suit, completely invisible and makes the seal a bit thicker and more resilient.
Thanks for all the advice - I had another crack at it yesterday afternoon and although my arm is now red raw with fibreglass scratches (!) the window now seals uniformly and whistles no more - woohoo! It's not as bad as the bible suggests - I would recommend the use of a long sleeved top though for anyone else trying it! Oh and apologies for hijacking the thread . . .
