Split fabric next to top of windscreen

Yes I know I fuss about detail, but it is visible from the outside and seems to be common amongst Chimaeras. Its very difficult to glue back , obviously split in the first palce because its tight and fragile.
Anyone recommend a solution (don't say glue) or a good trimmer who would be able to do it.
