Take the car for a half hour drive before the test to ensure the engine is up to optimum temperature.

RV8 TVRs can (mistakingly?) fail MOT tests, on emissions, when tested 'cold'..

Mine went in last week and passed with flying colours.

Fuel tank low, added some octane booster and emmissions wasn't a problem this year.

Before the MOT last week I gave mine a good run and the emmissions came out as CO 0.00% HC 0ppm and lambda 1.013
On Natural Idle C0 was 0.03%
No problems - went straight through.

Mines going in on Friday, but the clock has just got stuck at 50,000 miles! Will it fail on this, how can i fix it?

Don't mention it, they probably won't notice.

Well, it failed on faulty sidelight bulb and split brake pipe.....so not too bad.

Emmissions were fine I'm pleased to say.

My clock stopped at 50k for about a month then started up again, I wonder if that's a fairly common problem?

I'm sure I remember reading somewhere that it is......
