If you drive around enough it should eventually fall off all by itself.

Hope this helps,
Rob.

You'd be better off in the TVR section mate, you don't get that type of slander in there.

Oooooh, get you. Just because you own a Renault doesn't mean you have to be sympathetic towards all unreliable plasticy motors.

Cheers,
Rob.

You know when you're relieved to discover someone has a sense of humour?

And yet somehow also bitterly disappointed...

Cheers,
Rob.

You're obviously one of the very few men who clearly don't need any help! What a top bloke.

If however your lady should leave you because you can't get her insured, then Pie & Piston is full of budding agony aunt columnists.

Enjoy.

Why are you trying to do this ? Cigarette lighter disapeared by any chance ? If it's to adjust the window, you don't need to do it via the door trim.

Anyway, it isn't the easiest of jobs, unless you know what you're doing, but Steve Heath's "bible" gives a fairly good description of how to do it. If you can't get access to one of those in time, I'm sure someone with prior knowledge will be along shortly with some better advice. However, to start with you need to remove the speaker, then get your arm in the hole and remove 2 or 3 nuts and finally, get a 14 year old to put his/ her arm in the hole to remove the final nut that no-one can reach. When you put it all back together again, remember to change this final nut to a wing nut for next time !!

Eh? You bought your wife a TVR for Valentines Day and only YOU can drive it?! A likely story!

I can't wait to see what you get her for Christmas, a nice gents Omega and a season ticket for Twickenham perhaps?

Seriously though, you've come to the right place, the people on here are unbelievably knowledgable and you're sure to get any advice you need. Enjoy the Chimaera (BOTH of you!)

You have pretty much said it all, that is pretty much all there is to it. I got off the 3 x 10mm nuts with arms bigger than some peoples legs so it is just a question of how determined you are. I put cloth tape around the hole the speaker went in to, this stops you becoming a blood donor, other than that there are a lot of worse jobs you could have to do. If you take it off it is worth lubricating the window mechanism with grease, it will save you doing it in the future.
