A previous owner of my Chimaera rendered the standard Meta system redundant and installed a Clifford system , which works fine.
On the dash next to the clifford system warning light is a small rubber covered press button . It appears to do nothing . Anyone know what it should do.

Presume knowing you have a Clifford, you also have a handbook ?? Do you know the type or model ?? If so check out the Clifford web page and see what the spec is against the type/model you have.

Seems a bit odd to drill the dash and insert a system light and a rubber button. Or don't you mean the Veneer Dash ?? Switches and rubber bits associated with Clifford usually let you change aspects of the Alarm and its add-ons.

If all's well perhaps best advise is leave it alone ??

Clifford alarms usually have a coded valet switch for putting the car into valet mode or making adjustments to the alarm. I have never seen a rubber one though - they are usually small rocker switches that need a particular code entered into them.

Unfortunately no handbook and it is the veneer dash that holds the light and switch.
Have to find myself a Clifford dealer I think , but yes I agree , if it works why worry.
The flipper does have 4 buttons on it , would also be nice to know if it can be upgraded to open the boot independently.

pretty much all of the clifford alarms made during the past 5 or so years support remote boot release, you will just need to create a small wiring loom with a relay to link into the netagive output on the alarm. If you take the dash top off the alarm brain will probably be there - the bad news is that it probably won't have the model mumber on it, any clifford dealer will be able to tell you the model from the serial number though I suppose. You can download all the manuals straight off the clifford website. IF you can't find the right one on there let me know, I have access to an alarm installers website and there are tons of manuals and wiring diagrams on there. I don't do alarms myself but got it from a cotnact in the trade.
