No comments about needing a stereo in a Chim please! ...

Just popped out the cr*ppy JVC Cd-Tuner, in my girlfriend's Chim, and replaced it with a shiny new Alpine which has built in ipod control/cable etc. All is well, except that the apeture in the dash (wood) is a little tight, and I can only just get the stereo trim in - once in becasue it is so tight (width-wise) it is affecting the opening of the face (to put cd's in, or remove the face).

So the question is; Is it possible to sand the wood trim apeture, or am I going to make it look a dogs dinner?

Its metal behind that there wood trim - but you should be able too taking care not to damage the lacquer etc...
