ok just replace some stuff help
Discussion
well just replaced the worn out radiator(recored for 95 quid)
new ht leads and new sparks, distrib cap and rotor (am fussy)
replace all the cooling leads with nice new blue set
looks good
oh i must admit when i took all the ht leads 2 of them were kinda "burnt" and the rubber has disintergated, just taken out for a drive and seems more responsive, could have been the rubber had broken down and maybe letting a spark out instaed direct to plug
apart from found 2 connections and have no idea where there meant to connect or if they are meant to be connected some help here please
thanks

the multi connector is next to the alternator
the single connector is looking from the oil filler side
thanks

Can't see them clearly enough to be sure. The white connector looks vaguely like a lambda sensor connector. Do you have lambda sensors in the exhaust? If so you would see wires coming from a sensor on each side of the exhaust just before the Y piece, you should find red/black/white wires in a heat-proof sleeving. This is the lambda sensor loom, and each one is connected to the ECU loom by a short extension lead which has cylindrical white 3-pin connectors at each end. If you have lambda sensors fitted and following the wires back they are all connected then it isn't this. In that case it may be a diagnostic plug, mine doesn't have one but ymmv.
Is the other plug in the front of the intake manifold? It looks rather like a coolant temp sender, it's not at all unusual to have a redundant one.
It's good to know what these little odds and ends are, because yo never know when the engine is going to develop a fault and you may be left wondering whether that connector or hose was supposed to be connected to something ...
General rule of thumb under the bonnet is that if the terminals are clean then it has probably been connected until recently, and needs to be reconnected somewhere.

The first pic is of the LR temp guage sender, i used it when the TVR went low reading as they very often do. A 180 ohm resistor to calibrate and then you will not see false cold reading as its actaully in water, where the TVR one is on an old bit of pipe. The second is the air con compressor clutch.
