Does anyone have a definative answer on the correct running temp for a 1999 Chim 400??? I would be interested to know for both static in traffic and moving??? Thanks

Chcek for through the archives and you will find hundred of temps for these cars. Which one is definitive for a 1999 Chimaera? All depends.

The sweet spot for cruising is between 70-90 with 90-85 in traffic. Fans should switch on at around 90 or earlier depending on what spec otter switch they have been fitted with.

The new edition bible has about 3 pages on the running temps because it is a complex subject as the engine temp starts to affect many of the cars function, particularly on the ECU.

Also the guages are not accurate either.
