Whilst testing my newly acquired 430 Chimaera yesterday, I noticed the speedo wouldn't go above 90mph although the car was still accelerating....any ideas? Incidentally this test was done on the nearby airfield!!!

Midge, does it seem to read low most of the time? Check rpm/mph in 5th using 28mph/1000rpm. My 4.3 reads 70mph at 3000mph (should be 84 but most speedos will read about 90). This is a fault at the transponder at the prop/diff location. The gap should be 0.1-0.2mm or it could be a wiring problem (like mine). Check the gap first then get help!
