One of my rear Caps has gone missing, anyone have one that they no longer need?.
Its gone missing because the thread hole in the wheel that the retaining screw goes into has no thread!!, anyone got any ideas as to how to fix this so I don't loose a new one when I get it.
Yep, got a couple, not perfect as the badges in the centre are bubbled up, but your welcome to one anywho. Email me your address if you want one.
you could try helecoiling it? Think you can buy the kits for about £10 including drill and tool......I know RS used to stock them. Either that or tap it out to a bigger size and use a larger bolt on the cap?
Depends how badly worn the hole is but it should be an easy repair with a helicoil thread insert. Any engineering shop can do it for you, takes all of 10 minutes and is as permanent as new.
Plus as a bonus I have a couple of spares if you want one.
